Traditional Shows

for Quarter Horses

Traditional: Lorelei Payne (Portfolio Director)

The AQHA holds events to suit all disciplines. Our Traditional events are: Hack, Show Hunter and Dressage.

These classes are held at most of the AQHA larger shows all over Australia and points accumulated will go towards the End of Year High Point Awards with the AQHA.

In the Events link above, you will find the contact details for all our shows Australia wide.

Affiliate Club secretaries will be able to help you obtain a program for these shows.

The AQHA holds a National Championship Show each year and Hack, Show Hunter and Dressage are some of the classes offered and we award a Traditional High Point Award to the horse that has achieved the highest number of points at this show.

The National Championship Show Hack, Show Hunter & Dressage classes are run under EA rules for uniformity.

This is a perfect opportunity to compete against competitors from all over Australia, earn points and accumulate points for Annual High Point Awards.

Note: to be eligible for AQHA points and High Points Awards, competitors must be AQHA members and riding a registered Quarter Horse owned by a financial member.
