Holly Marshall

Name:     Holly Marshall
Country: Australia
Age:        17

Have you ever participated in the AQHA Youth World Cup before? If so what was your best memory from the event?
No, this will be my first YWC experience.

How did you become involved in showing Australian Quarter Horses?
I have been involved with QH’s my whole life. My parents are both Horse Trainers so that has given me lots of opportunity to be involved.

What do you like most about showing Australian Quarter Horses?
I adore the QH’s temperament. You can take them to a show and they will do their best for you on the day. This makes showing them a pleasant experience.

What are your favourite AQHA events and why?
Showmanship, Horsemanship, Western Pleasure, Trail & Reining. I love the precision of the pattern events. In Western Pleasure, I  love the unity of both horse and rider and in the Pleasure Classes it is a constant challenge.

What are your other hobbies and interests?
Dancing, going to the movies, shopping (of course) and spending time with my friends. I also love taking my horse to the beach.

What is one thing you are looking forward to during the 2006 Youth World Cup .
I am just looking forward to representing our Country at such a prestigious event.

What is one thing that you would like to do or see during 2006 Youth World Cup?
I am hoping that my Grandparent will come to see me in Amarillo as I have not seen them since I was a baby.
