Campdraft Super Challenge 2007

The Australian Quarter Horse Association’s Campdraft Super Challenge, scheduled for 15th-16th September 2007 has been cancelled due to the outbreak of Equine Influenza (EI) and the strict guidelines set in place as a result.

AQHA apologises for any inconvenience caused to members, other entrants, sponsors and spectators but has taken the only responsible position possible in cancelling these events.

Further, AQHA has recommended to all its Affiliates that they should cancel any activities that were scheduled to take place in the next 3 weeks as a minimum action on their behalf due to the uncertainty of the horse bans being lifted.

Due to the horse standstill that has been implemented in NSW and elsewhere stating that NO HORSES OF ANY TYPE, INCLUDING PETS, RIDING CLUB AND SHOW ANIMALS AND DONKEYS ARE PERMITTED TO TRAVEL ANYWHERE IN AUSTRALIA.

AQHA, at the advice of the Department of Primary Industry NSW, has announced this cancellation to assist in preventing cross contamination by discouraging any movement of horses around the country.
