Procedures
When applying for a lease of a Quarter Horse, the following documents must be provided to the Australian Quarter Horse Association:
Step 1: Original Registration Certificate or recording
certificate for the horse.
Step 1: Download the Official Lease Agreement.
Step 2: Complete the form entirely.
Please note: NO LEASE WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR A TERM OF LESS THAN 12 MONTHS.
Step 3: This lease must be signed by the lessee/s and lessor/s in the presence of a Justice of the Peace who
must witness both signatures and the date of signing.
The Lease form must also be signed by the person holding the
membership.
In case of a Constituent Membership the form must be
signed by the nominee of that membership or some other authorised
person.
Step 4: Current fee: check here.
Step 5: Submit Official Lease Agreement For, Original Registration Certificate or recording
certificate for the horse together with the current fee to AQHA.
Step 6:
After a horse has been accepted by AQHA for a lease, a
notation of the lease is recorded on
the original
registration certificate.
Please note: The lessee must remain a financial member of the AQHA
for the term of the lease.
