Horseback Riding Program
The AQHA Horseback Riding Program rewards you for just doing what you already love doing. To just about everyone who's ever done it, riding an Australian Quarter Horse is one of the most rewarding experiences. The AQHA Horseback Riding Program is an incentive based program that reward you with great prizes for the time spent in the saddle on your registered Australian Quarter Horse. Simply become an AQHA Member and nominate for the Horseback Riding Program and you are on the way to Discovering Your Lifestyle!

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS!
When you register with the Horseback Riding
Program, we will send you log sheets which you fill
in to keep a log of hours you spend riding an
Australian Quarter Horse. Send this log into the
AQHA office, and at incremental levels you will
receive special AQHA Horseback Riding Program
awards. You’re competing against no one but
yourself, and you can progress at your own rate.
WHAT ARE THE REWARDS?
- 50 hours AQHA/HBRP Cap
- 100 Hours AQHA/HBRP Polo Shirt
- 250 Hours AQHA/HBRP Polar Fleece Vest
- 500 Hours AQHA/HBRP Towel

No matter how little you ride, you’re always a winner on an Australian Quarter Horse.
WHAT OTHER INFORMATION SHOULD I KNOW?
Now riding an Australian Quarter Horse is
more rewarding than ever. There is no enrolment deadline or time limit. You need not be
the owner of the horse, but it must be registered with the AQHA and the horse’s owner
must be financial. You can ride more than one horse (providing each horse you ride is
a registered Quarter Horse owned by a financial member). Hours can be accrued while
exercising, trail riding, nearly anything other than competing. You are competing on an
honour system, you record your hours on horseback, you monitor your progress.
WHAT ARE THE REGULATIONS?
Winning is as easy as riding an Australian Quarter
Horse and following some very simple regulations. You must be a financial member
of the AQHA, logged hours will only be recorded whilst membership is financial. You
must ride a registered Quarter Horse belonging to a financial member. You must not
currently be participating in any other type of point scoring event.
