Ricky Glen

I am from Western Australia where along with my wife Chelsea and two sons, Lachlan and James manage Morning Sun Ranch, which is one of the largest Quarter Horse breeding operations in Australia.

I have been a member of the AQHA Board consecutively for the past 13 years and during this time I have held the Hall of Fame portfolio and for the past several years the Stud Book portfolio of which I am Chairperson.

The AQHA is primarily the keeper of the Stud Book and doing so, must at all times be sure that the horses in the Stud Book are exactly what they are supposed to be.  To ensure this, sometimes rules must be introduced to protect our breed, but be assured that a lot of research and thought is given to these changes and these are introduced to ensure that the breed maintains its integrity, which has seen the Australian Quarter horse grow as one of the most popular breeds in Australia.

I am always open to enquiries from people with a problem or suggestion and encourage members to continue to do so.
