Liz Keating

Hello, my name is Liz Keating. I reside in the picturesque Yarra Valley, east of Melbourne. I live on a small property with my partner and two children.
I have been actively involved in the Quarter Horse industry for over 25 years and during this time have competed at State and National levels as an Amateur and Open rider. I have spent many years involved with various committees and Affiliates. I have also been actively involved with AQHA Amateur Division for some time.
Although I no longer hold Amateur endorsement, I am very passionate about the Amateur membership of the AQHA. I am of the opinion that Amateurs are a large part of our industry. They purchase from the breeder, at times enlist the help of trainers, support the Affiliates by entering Amateur classes. All of which keeps the industry moving! I believe that the AQHA should support the people, who support the industry.
I also believe there is a need to introduce newcomers to the industry, via our Affiliates. Support ideas should be made available to Affiliates, so they may offer improver clinics, presentations, rallies etc. This will encourage an increase of members and more importantly showcase the wonderful Quarter Horse. I look forward to serving the membership.
