Biographies
Harry van Dyk
Harry has been involved in the Quarter horse industry for over 25 years. In that time he and his wife Lynne have been active competitors as Amateur Owners. They are also breeders having been part owners of Blue Denim Zipper and more recently standing their imported stallion Tall Dark’N”Radical at “Lyndara Quarter Horses” at Ebenezer in NSW.
Harry was appointed CEO and Vice President of Philips Electronics Australia Ltd in November 2001. He continued his role as General Manager of Philips Consumer Electronics Australia which he had held since May 1997. In June 2006, Harry transferred from the Consumer Electronics business in Australia to take on the role of Managing Director of Philips Medical Systems Australasia.
Early in his career, he spent 15 years with Johnson and Johnson Australia in various management roles. Prior to joining Philips in 1997, Harry also held various positions in senior management in Australia including: CEO of Neverfail Springwater and Managing Director of Pitman Moore and Coopers Animal Health in Australia and New Zealand.
He is an Associate Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) and a member of the International CEO Forum group. He is also a director of Outcomes Australia Pty Ltd, an organization that seeks to find best in class solutions for key issues in the Australian community.
During his varied career he has held several industry body positions including Chairman of AVCARE Animal Healthcare Committee and a Board Membership of Applie-com (an electronics industry supplier and retailer organisation).
